Re: 'Gorman still on the list'.
Ed Gibbon's letter in the Journal of Sunday, June 20th glosses over the simple fact that the short LRT extension to Gorman town center is not now under construction. Over a year ago the federal and provincial governments announced their financial support to build this doable project. The Premier and the Regional Minister for the federal government were part of the announcement. This money was time-sensitive within the monies made available under the federal stimulus program. This recession fighting program had an end date of May 31.The attempt to transfer these monies to a changed priority after first putting forward the Gorman package was an embarrassment for Edmonton.
